My own fav. recollections are walking in Glen Creran and those of our dear and now passed Lady Stewart. She became the guiding light of our clan and kept many, many traditions alive through her active participation in various West-Highland related causes. Her passing was a greater loss than many know.
Sitting on the shoreline of Loch Linnie with my children was and still is a joy. They have a deep love for the very soil and a respect that has been passed to them since birth. A humorous story is having my arm cut by the horn of a bo as I tried to "pet it." The beast was having no part of it and I, loving animals, thought patting its forehead would be a good idea ... note to self, don't try that again <smile>. Just a few recollections. |
